Get to know your NIFL bill
We've designed our bill format based on feedback from customers just like you because we know that your bill should be easy for you to read and understand. You can quickly review your monthly statement for a billing and payment summary to see how much you owe and the due date. You can also use the information on your bill to help you manage your gas wisely and take control of how much you spend.

Learn how to read your bill by taking a quick tour. We realize that each customer's bill is unique, but we've used a typical bill as an example for demonstration purposes. Not all programs and services shown in the example are available to all customers, but you'll learn where to look on your bill for the information that's relevant to you.

BudgetPlan
Take the guesswork out of budgeting for your utility bill. Hot summers. Cold winters. Sometimes it is hard to predict what your utility bill will be each month. With the budget you’ll know how much to expect to pay each month. Combine with ZapCheck automatic payment for added convenience.

Features

  • Easy enrollment process
  • It's free
  • It's handled for you - automatically

Benefits

  • Reduces fluctuations in utility payments
  • Hassle free
  • Credits refunded
  • Debits carried into next year

The BudgetPlan provides an average monthly bill based on your past energy usage and estimated future prices so you always know how much to budget for your NIFL bill.

Here's How It Works

  • Know how much to expect to pay each month throughout the entire year.
  • Your monthly statement will always show the status of your account.
  • We'll review your account periodically for any unexpected increases in the cost of energy or your usage, and may adjust your budget payment amount to make sure your actual account balance is on track.
  • Each May, the amount you have paid is compared to your actual usage to determine whether you have overpaid or underpaid your utility bill.
  • If you’ve overpaid, the settle-up will be applied to future billings. If you’ve underpaid, the balance due will be spread over the next 12 months.

Authorized Pay Stations

Use only authorized payment agents!

Many of our customers pay their bill directly to us or use a payment agent that we’ve authorized to collect customer payments. However, some customers have begun using bill payment services that do not have any arrangements with us to process payments. We cannot provide assurance that payments made through one of these unauthorized bill payment services will be forwarded to us in a timely manner or even that they will be forwarded at all.

To protect yourself and your utility service, be sure to follow these steps:

  • Use caution when making your payment through a third-party bill payment service that is not authorized by us.
  • Be sure to bring both portions (top and bottom) of your bill or provide your 10-digit account number.
  • The payment agent might charge a service fee for each transaction. Check your local phone directory and contact the payment agent for specifics.
  • Most important of all, always keep your receipt.
